Great expectations…After due reflection…My great expectations of what I expect from Michelle are way out of line…At least for now…
Michelle has said that she wanted to play one decent round of golf…One decent round of golf…
It’s clear that Michelle is struggling with her golf game….Yet, I keep expecting her to win…Not only to win, but to win big time…My line of thinking is way out of line…At least for now…
Therefore, I am going to bring my line of thinking and expectations in line with Michelle’s line of thinking and expectations…
One hole at a time…One round at a time…

The current cut:
66 players at Even
83 players at +1
97 players at +2
I expect the cut to be a +1

Michelle is currently a +4...Michelle will have to shoot at least a -3 to make the cut…Yesterday, Michelle’s front nine was ugly…Her back nine was good…A -2...A small positive within a big negative of a +4 round…So, I will be content, (not real happy, but happy) if Michelle has a -1 round.…A solid Positive even though a -1 would not make the cut…

Par 3’s:
4 pars…0 birdies…0 bogeys….big improvement over yesterday
Par 4’s:
6 pars…2 birdies…2 bogeys…
Par 5’s:
3 pars…1 birdie…0 bogeys

There is no projected cut line…And the Jlpga still has the round 3 pairings and tee times posted…
So I don’t know…
If there is no cut, then Michelle’s group tees off at 8:09 AM JST Sunday…
That’s 4:09 PM PST Saturday
Guess we’ll just have to play it by ear unless someone in Wie Nation knows if there is a cut or there is no cut?

Well that's very brave of her to come back with a -1, hope for the future, even though she'll probably miss the cut.

Matchplay is much more forgiving of her mistakes so she should be positive about the Sybase - unless she gets Yani in the 1st round !

I am encouraged to see her finish with a 1-under 71. If only she didn't dig such a deep hole in round 1. Regardless, I hope she can build on a solid 2nd...oops, I mean 3rd...round and gets back to the Michelle we know she can be.
