On July 9th Our Michelle Wie will start the defense of her U.S> Womens Open crown in Lancster, Pa......she has slowly gotten into form........and looks ready to play like a major winner should.......so let's get our Mini Scoring Contest started a little early......and let's hope that Michelle is getting in the practice necessary to defend her title........I would say putting and approach shots should be at the top of her list of things to improve on.......her iron 2nd shots last week mostly left her with long birdie putts...... .....and she didn't hole many of them.......remember that 10-footer that ended up less than an inch from the cup?.......if that falls in.......then she makes the cut......and who knows how much she could have improved in those last 36 holes.........
It’s the US Woman’s Open, and Michelle is the defending Champion, and I can’t come up with a good story line or Photo… Anyway, it looks like Michelle has really been practicing to defend her title… There is rain in the forecast? So the course may be playing even tougher…

Michelle shot a 2-over 72 in round one......resulting in a 3-way for first place in our contest between bobawiefan, jus976 and balabill at -2........here is our leaderboard after round one:
Even with a bogey on her last hole, the 9th.........Michelle shot a 2-under 68 on Saturday and 2 of our members had it right on the head for 5 bonus points each........bobawiefan and wiefan both had the correct scores........bobawiefan leads by 2 points over wiefan........with balabill in 3rd......6-points behind the leader........here is our 2nd round leaderboard:......

You won by four points over wiefan......who is quite a well-known WIE fan himself.........and going wire-to-wire is quite an accomplishment also.......now for Michelle......the flat-stick let her down IMHO....34 putts in round four....are way too much to score well......

Michelle is in the final field of the Marathon Classic… But, it’s not clear if she will be playing the Marathon Classic… Quote, “At this point, I think I have to look into it further,” Wie said. “It was getting a lot better, and it just kind of went backwards this week. I just want to have another look at it, see what my game plan is moving forward.”
