Wie adds actress to her long list of accomplishmentsBy Bailey Mosier December 14, 2014, 3:20 pm Major champion? Check. Cover girl? Check.  Ivy League educated? Check. Those are just a few of the many achievements Michelle Wie has accumulated in her 25 years on earth. Now, it appears she'll be adding "actress" to her list of accolades. In a photo Wie posted to her Instagram account Sunday, she is seen on set of the CBS show "Hawaii Five-O" staged on what appears to be a golf course.  While the Grill Room is no detective outfit - unlike the special state task force of "Hawaii Five-O" - we have deduced that she will likely be making a cameo as herself. Of course, there are still facts that need to be gathered before we can be sure of this beyond a reasonable doubt. What is true beyond a reasonable doubt - the girl is a Hawaii Five-O-verachiever. Michelle Wie will guest star on an episode of "Hawaii Five-O" on Feb. 20 on CBS. But before you get too excited about seeing what kind of acting chops the LPGA star has, you should know she'll be playing herself and not some criminal mastermind. Related: Our favorite golf movie scenes In the episode, Wie, a native of Hawaii, will give advice to Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (played by Alex O'Loughlin) on how to beat Captain/SWAT Commander Lou Grover (played by Chi McBride) at a charity golf event. Here's a photo of Wie and McBride in action:  Another athlete, former UFC champion Randy Couture also guest stars, but he gets to play the much cooler role of a serial arsonist. And in case you're wondering, this isn't the episode in which a pro golfer is allegedly kidnapped, beaten, and robbed after leaving a Hawaiian wine bar.

"Michelle Wie to guest star on "Hawaii Five-0" on Friday" By John Holmes PGA.com Series: Golf Buzz Published: Thursday, February 19, 2015 | 6:26 p.m. Let's see … TV coverage of the second round of the Northern Trust Open ends at 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, and coverage of the third round of the Women's Australian Open doesn't start until 11:00. So what should any good golf fan watch in between? How about a little "Hawaii Five-0?" The CBS crime drama set in Honolulu airs at 9:00 p.m. ET, and this week's episode features a guest star with whom we're all pretty familiar – Hawaii's own Michelle Wie. Yes, the Big Wiesy now can add "actor" to her resume, as she has a cameo role. Unfortunately, she's not playing some criminal genius wreaking havoc across the balmy islands. Instead, she's appearing as herself. In the episode, "Five-0" boss Steve McGarrett (played by Alex O'Loughlin) approaches her for some tips on how to beat fellow cop Lou Grove (Chi McBride) in a charity tournament. Wie, we remember, earned her first major title that week at Pinehurst, and she filmed her part in mid-December while on vacation back home. "The entire shoot was impressive – the actors, the crew, just everything. The actors were so polished and smooth in their delivery," she told USA Today. "I had more dialogue than I had anticipated, which made me a little nervous. Overall, it was just a cool experience and it's always cool to do things that benefit Hawaii." I'm sure Wie does a good job, but I have to say I'm disappointed that the episode doesn't also feature former LPGA Tour player Grace Park giving lessons to "Five-0" officer Kono Kalakaua, who is, of course, played by actress Grace Park. Think of the fun the scriptwriters could have had with that! Oh well, maybe next year.
