from my blog: Michelle Wie US Women’s Open 2014 Trophy Ceremony | Fairways and ForehandsMichelle WieWith the allotted broadcast time winding down once Michelle Wie dropped in her final putt to seal victory at the 2014 US Women’s Open, it’s terrific that Pinehurst shared the video of the trophy ceremony. Not only did Michelle receive her gold medal and trophy, Stacy Lewis also received her silver medal as the second place finisher and Brooke Henderson was awarded low amateur. It was funny right at the beginning when Michelle stood up prematurely for the presentation and had to sit back down. There is an interview after she gets her awards. A few minutes later she gives a brief speech.

Michelle Wie Receives US Women's Open Victory Ring www.golfchannel.com/news/golf-central-blog/wie-receives-us-womens-open-victory-ring/Michelle Wie had quite a lot of fun with her U.S. Open trophy, and now she has some jewelry to show off, too. Wie posted the picture below to Instagram on Friday, with the caption: "Ooooooooooh baby! Guess what just came in the mail from the @usga...my US open ring! Such a motivating reminder." In addition to the trophy and the ring, Wie also took home the inaugural Rolex Annika Major Award in September. Thanks to her runner-up finish at the Kraft Nabisco and victory at the U.S. Open, she won the award despite missing the cut at the Women's British, missing the Wegmans LPGA altogether and playing only 13 holes of the Evian, with the latter two events impacted by an injury to her right index finger. The 2015 LPGA season opens Jan. 28 at the Coates Golf Championship in Ocala, Florida. Tags: Michelle Wie, U.S. Women's Open
