The Golf Channel's Morning Drive is going after Michelle for ratings, Big Time! Today they finally dropped the article about Michelle leaving the green while other team was putting, and I thought, it's about time because there was a continuous pounding of Michelle there. So guess what, another article on Michelle: "Debate - does Wie Lack Respect for the Game" This article came about because on Morning Drive this morning Billy Harmon attacked Michelle Wie when Kelly T. made a personal opinion about Michelle. You can listen to the debate. "During Tuesday's "Morning Drive" Game Ball segment, co-host Kelly Tilghman and instructor Billy Harmon disagreed on the merits of Michelle Wie. They offered their opinion on whether or not Wie's career, to this point, is a success or failure and if she lacks respect for the game. Check out the debate below:" www.golfchannel.com/news/golftalkcentral/debate-does-wie-lack-respect-for-the-game/I agree with one comment that Billy is a Bully! So another article about Michelle to drive ratings and give people more opportunity to trash Michelle. In my opinion Harmon did act like a bully, an old angry mean man off his meds. I sent "Morning Drive" an email with my comments about the show and Billy Bully Harmon - won't be watching any more with him there.

I'm sorry...with all due respect...that dude is full of it!! She has no respect for the game?!! Can he see into Michelle's heart? Can he read her mind? She made a mistake and apologized. I'm willing to bet had that been any other player, he would have accepted the apology. I thought Paula Creamer, whom I like, had some unsportsmanlike behavior. But I really am making no big deal about it. It's emotional out there. People get swept up in the moment in a way that is very different than individual play.
Listen, bottom line is that the title you gave this thread is accurate. Good...bad...whatever, TGC and others can't resist talking about Michelle. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they prepared the whole "debate" beforehand, with Kelly taking the pro-Michelle and Billy taking the con-Michelle positions.

Yeah, it does seem like this was set-up for Kelly to pick Michelle to create the debate. I'm glad that Kelly seems to be a fan of Michelle, but it's just disappointing that they mention Michelle just to get more hits and ratings. Anyways, I've stopped watching that channel other than watching the LPGA tournaments and some PGA tournaments for a long time now, due mostly to their negativity of Michelle.

Maybe they did prepare this "trashing of Michelle" beforehand, if so, in my opinion it has blown up in their face with the way Billy Bully came across. I'm thinking about the other women players watching, reading this attack on Michelle - is it making them angry, uncomfortable - what if it was them the Golf Channel was holding up as the worst LPGA Player to tee it up Ever!!! They have given the public red meat for days! Disrespect, Quitter, Entitled, Lousy Parents, and more are the words used by golf channel posters, all brought on by Golf Channel Staff. They should be proud of themselves? I don't think so.

I saw the debate this morning. Entertaining at best. No point was made by either side because nothing new came out; most if not all members here have heard the same arguments pro and against Michelle before. No wonder Michelle doesn't read anything about her anymore.
