After some reflection, I am changing my prediction from a breakout year to an
excellent come back year..
My Prediction Was:

‘I predict it’s going to be a break out year for Michelle…
And she will climb back up in the Rolex World Ranking’s….
7 or 8 Top Ten’s
Two tournament wins…
And at least one Major….”

I am changing my prediction because Michelle is only 23 years, (the same as Yani), but, no college, and because of these:

How, Michelle has a matching set…And hopefully, Nike, will not surprise Michelle in the middle of the season with more new experimental golf clubs…

I also expect a dual to develop between Michelle and Yani for honors in a comeback race developing a competitiive spirit within Michelle...

Michelle's name came up on Golf Channel's Morning Drive this morning. Bob Sirak (correct name?) was asked how Michelle will do this year. His theory is she needs Passion for the game, and others have said does she really want it - success.

I really think so much of her life what was most important was the Degree from Stanford and she experienced a big let down when that was accomplished. We know how much she enjoyed her college life, her friends and is still there, mentally and emotionally.

When she comes to terms with that the passion for golf will return and she will be number One. But it has to be when she wants it.
She's been through a lot, the bad, the good and everything in between and she doesn't regret any of it! She's really a very special person and has a bright future. Oh the places she'll go.....

Michelle has to make up her mind as to the direction of her golfing career. Now that she is pretty much free from parental intervention, she can model her attitude toward the game to fit the mold of being a winner. If she gets distracted and lose focus, her game will further deteriorate to the point of being just another tour player. I predict a turn around for her in 2013 though. She will have to do well, if not out of necessity, but for her well being as a person full of drive and competitive spirit. She has to!

This course may be a good test for Michelle first tournament of 2013...
There are 3 par 4’s over 400yds, and Michelle will need better accuracy with her drives on the par 4’s if she is going to be atop the leader board in this tournament…

There are 5 par 5’s listed at the tournament site and a par 73…The Lpga has 5 par 5’s listed, and a par 72 listing...So, we’ll play that by ear…
The par 5’s may give us an idea what kind of short game Michelle has?
A fair amount of the greens are small…
And of course…Putting???

Golf Australia has confirmed the 2013 ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open course at Royal Canberra Golf Club.
The 2013 Championship course, Par 73 - 6108 m layout will provide an excellent test for the world’s best players. Tournament Director Trevor Herden said "This course set up for the women is slightly longer than those courses used over recent years on the Sandbelt and approximately 200 metres longer than the annual Ladies Classic. The undulating fairways will benefit the players in most cases, Royal Canberra has a number of reasonably small greens, many of which are protected by bunkers, forcing players to be very precise with club selection" Herden said.
Royal Canberra has hosted a number of men’s and women’s professional events, the support offered by the club, its members and others in the region indicates that this event may be the pinnacle of all professional events played at this golf club on this historical course. The event will launch the LPGA’s 2013 Global Tour. It will also create history as it forms a key part of the ACT 100 celebrations.
The LPGA created history this year when it partnered Golf Australia and the Women’s Australian Open for the first time. One hundred of the world’s best players who compete on the LPGA’s global stage will play Royal Canberra next February, showcasing the game at the highest possible level and competing for Australia’s major championship title.

Overall the course is a bit longer that what the ladies usually play, so that should suit the longer hitters. I would guess you make your score on the front 9 with a driveable par 4 and 2 very reachable par 5's, then defend like mad on the back 9 with some stiff par 4's. Sandbelt golf gives lots of options for the creative players too - should be fun !

As for predictions for 2013, I think I'm going to reserve judgement until I see how she starts. In sport everything is about confidence, which certainly around her putting was sadly lacking in 2012, and as we all know putting is purely a mental thing. At the end of 2012 she was running on fumes, so let's hope the break has refreshed her enthusiasm for the game.

I am really impressed…I am impressed with Michelle’s work ethic’s …
For the past month, Michelle has been practicing golf…No photo shoots…No TV commercials…Michelle did not attend or participate in the PGA Show…Nor did she attend the Super bowl…
As far as I can remember, Michelle has never had 4 weeks in a row of solid practice…

On Monday, 24 Dec., 2012, Michelle was ranked #59...She is now ranked #65...She has dropped 6 spots without picking up a club in a tournament…
My guess….The missed cuts caught up with Michelle…

As of Monday, 24 Dec., 2012, Michelle has 93 U.S. Solheim Cup Points, and is ranked ninth…But, for The International Crown, Michelle will have to be one of the top four U.S. players to qualify for The International Crown…

Motivation…Maybe…I don’t know…But, the past month seems to agree with Michelle as is evident by this picture…



In my opinion, Michelle has never looked so calm, composed and confident as she does in this picture…

I really think it’s going to be a break out year for Michelle…And I can hardly wait until next week gets here…

I'm not gonna go crazy w/ my predictions. I'm gonna be reserved and not expect Michelle to be Superwoman after a tough last season. But I do foresee an upswing probably w/ consistent high/good finishes near the end of the season. I think Michelle's confidence will build as she goes along view this season as a fresh start. I say Michelle will get 1 win and 4 top 10 finishes. Then Sprinkle in a few top 20 finishes and that's a great comeback.

No predictions here also. Just want to see her bring her stroke average down to 72. I think that's doable.
