I read a comment on Golf Channel forum that Michelle's putting may improve because she is working with Tom Purtzer. I don't know if the comment is true but looked up Purtzer. He works with his brother Paul and I added a link to their website below. www.purtzergolf.com/TomPurtzer.asp |

If true, I wonder when she started working with him. Her putting at Kingsmill was terrible, which was just the week before. Michelle's never been a great putter and now she's thinking way to much particularly on the short putts. And because she doesn't seem to have much confidence in her putting it puts pressure on her ball striking and in most cases if you try to hard you end up swinging worse.
I think they mentioned that British greens seem to be slower so that might have helped her last weekend. She seems to have trouble on fast and bumpy greens.
