It seems Michelle Wie was confident she was going to be crowned US Open champion today.
For the 22-year-old golfer wore purple, the colour of royalty, as she played her final round at the prestigious LPGA event in Koler, Wisconsin.
But while she concentrated on her tilt at the title, her legion of male fans ended up looking at the wrong pins whenever she played a shot due to the high hemline on her tight purple dress.

Wiesie does it: Michelle started the final round in 13th place by ended up sliding down the rankings at the US Open today
The Big Wiesy looked relaxed as she tried to break her duck and win her first professional major.
But it seems purple is her unlucky colour after all, as she slid down the leaderboard after starting in thirteenth position ending 11 shots under par and tied in 35th place.
But the American golf prodigy still gave her burgeoning fanbase something to smile about thanks to her bold outfit.
Michelle had been tipped to be the female Tiger Woods after a glittering amateur career as a teenager.
However she has struggled to live up to her promise since turning professional, and has yet to win a major tournament, though she was runner up at the LPGA Championship in 2005.
Purple gain: She may not have won but she picked up plenty of new fans thanks to her bold purple dress
She was showered with praise as a high-flying youngster, with former world number one Ernie Els particularly taken by her smooth strokes.
When she was just 14 he said: 'Give her another couple years to get stronger, she can play on the PGA Tour.'
While she has gone on to be invited on a number of occasions to play at men's events on the professional circuit, she has yet to make the cut once.
Got to love wie golf
