Yesterday on hole 6, a par 4, Michelle drove the ball 286yds into the rough…On hole 8, Michelle may have being using her hybrid…Her drive was only 243 yds…I look at the course map, and after 250yds, the fairway gets real narrow with fairway bunkers on both sides…I assume today, Michelle will use her new 3 wood for good course management…

The cut started this morning at +3...Now down to +4
Michelle tees off in about 1 hour and 45 minutes on TV…

One of these days, Michelle is going to live up to my billing?
It looks like she went back to her old swing…feet are farther apart, and I thought I saw her left foot turn forward when she teed off on the first tee…she pulled her first tee shot.
Yesterday…left hand low on the putter…didn’t notice today…not much coverage of her golf game…
Looks like Michelle got on the old horse, and the old horse bucked her off…
Michelle is going to have to do some hard riding if she is going to make the cut…

This is such a terrible start!! I had a feeling that hitting the fairways was going to be so important seeing how long the rough was. I'm just not sure what she needs to do now, I don't think her camp does either. Unfortunately Michelle is stubborn and might not make any drastic changes and I do think that's what she needs to do. Perhaps it's time to let Leadbetter go and start with a new coach, because it's been about two years now that she has really been struggling with her game.

Teeshot--but that might not be the safe way to play on this course with narrow fairways and long rough if she wants to play well. At least play it safe until she makes the cut. You said she was hitting it shorter yesterday probably due to not having her 3 wood, perhaps that how she should play this course until she makes the cut.
