These words are one of the first steps toward maturity:
“think i have shed more tears this year than i ever have in my entire life combined...but its time now to put on my big girl pants!”
Little girls and immature girls, “Cry”.
Little boys and immature boys, “Pout”. Def. “To be sullenly aloof or withdrawn, as in silent resentment or protest:”
One of the first steps toward maturity is to admit to one’s self that they have been acting like a child; and this is what Michelle is doing by saying “but its time now to put on my big girl pants!”; and quit crying for one’s self…
For Michelle, college is over and it’s time to move on…It’s, “Time to turn things around!”
