While we all hope that Michelle "rebounds" next week at the Kraft tourney, I honestly do not see it happening unless there's some miraculous discovery which will transform her putting from the bottom (where it is now) to even fairly decent.
This has GOT to get corrected and it's become a matter of the survival of her career.
I don't know what the issue was with her parents and the Stocktons or whomever. I don't even care. But she has to get some guidance beyond endless sessions on the putting green with Bo and BJ. I've seen her at tournaments working on her putting with them "helping."
It ain't helping. Give it up and go get some professional assistance. She said something about when she moves to Jupiter, she'll pick fellow club member, Luke Donald's, brain for help with her putting. All very good, but he doesn't have time to really work with her. She needs more than a coupla quick "tips from friends" on the putting green.
Her game is in shambles because her poor putting is stressing the rest of her game and her psyche.
I think a great finish for her next week would be anywhere in the top 20....but she does not have the game now to be anywhere in contention. (I hope I have to eat my words)

Hello Wie Nation: Look at what I found in the black clouds of the Kia Classic tournament…There is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for Michelle Wie…A big postive in the dark clouds of the Kia Classic stats…(posted in 2012 tournament record thread in statistics) ((Greens…15 of 36 …42% or 7.5 greens per round… Ave is 12.55 greens per round Total putts per Gir… 27 for 2 rds. Putts per Gir…. 1.8 putts per green…ave is 1.84 putts per green)) Michelle hit 15 greens and on these 15 greens, Michelle had 27 putts…that’s 27 putts divided by 15 greens equals 1.8 putts per green in regulation. Michelle’s 2011 average for putts per green in regulation was 1.84 putts/Gir. In the Kia Classic, Michelle had 1.8 putts/Gir….that’s and increase of 00.04 putts/gir… I know it doesn’t look like much….but….but in 2011 the strongest part of Michelle’s golf game was greens in regulation…She was ranked 24th…. And once Michelle settles into her new way of life, I am positive, Michelle will once again begin hitting a high rate of greens in regulation… Got to love wie golf bobawiefan

Bobawiefan.... Your enthusiasm is commendable. But...you've got to be kidding. Face facts. Michelle's game needs some serious work. And, yes...now that she's got more time, we can only hope it will improve. But, without some professional help with her putting (as I've said, ad nauseum), her game is lost.

Did anyone else HEAR this - or ws I hearing things.........no, I don't do that..........Here is what I heard:.........it is about what Yani said about Michelle's chances at this tournament.........she said that Michelle would NOT do any good here because this course was NOT set up the way Michelle would like it to be........and so Yani was right.........could this be all that it was?.........course set-up?...........SURE Michelle finished 6th and 7th the last 2 years here..........BUT I understand that THIS was NOT the course Michelle played on..........many of the holes were changed and others were tweaked to completely change their look............anyhow did anyone see Yani's drive on 18 today?........WOW did she luck out, or what?.........it rolled and bounced down the cart path..........and then it rolled and bounced straight down the cart path some more...........and then it arrived at a bridge...........NOW the metal bridge would stop it for sure..........NO - it looked like the ball was being controlled by radar.........if it would have gone left or right on the bridge..........it would have ended up in the WATER!...........But NO, it ended up in the short rough..........with a good lie..........and it was HOLE HIGH!.............and she ended up with a PAR..........and she did not look too happy about that.........LOL..........anyhow getting back to our Michelle...........I feel thst she will snap out of it at the Kraft-Nabisco next week...........after all she did finish in 6th place there last year..........and is IS a Major...........one that she has played VERYWELL many times.........she knows this course like the back of her hand..........of course we will just have to wait and see.......so let's DO THAT!...........

After reading everyone's posts, I think Lojo hits the nail on the head.
Frankly, I think if she plays poorly at Kraft, it could sidetrack her career for some time to come. I see the following issues:
1. She can't have any confidence. 2. Her putting is atrocious. 3. Her parents have no clue about how to fix it. They should apologize to the Stocktons and get them on board. 4. If she does poorly this coming week, how can she feel good about ANY of her tournaments going forward?
I think this is a critically important tournament. I HOPE that next week at this time I will be posting "WHEW, SHE'S OK!"
Bobawiefan's enthusiasm is great, LOVE IT! However, as a realist, I can't share it right now. We need good karma next week. Here's hoping!

Some of you guys sound like Chicken Little...the sky is falling, the sky is falling. Moral of the tale, the sky wasn't falling, Chicken Little was an alarmist.
