I have been a longtime fan of 2005 LPGA Safeway Classic winner Soo Yun Kang. The former LPGA star had 15 top 10s and 1 win with 3 runners-up from 2003 to 2005. Since then, she has only 2 top 10s. Now playing on the JLPGA, she has put herself in position for a JLPGA victory as her 2nd round 5-under par 67 leaves her 1 shot shy of leader Eun-Bi Jang. Her great round included an eagle on the par 5 1st. Can she keep it up? Obviously, a lot can happen in the final round, but I would be thrilled to see Kangsy pull this one out.
