Michelle Wie was quite chatty at the HSBC promotional event for UNICEF. Besides her positive comments about Lexi Thompson, she also spoke about Yani Tseng and Tiger Woods. On Yani: “She’s an amazing golfer. I’ve competed against her since I was 14 and the way she’s improved, it’s very inspiring. She’s a very strong force out there, every week she’s in contention which I think is very impressive, and it makes me want to become a better player. She is someone who is definitely motivating to be better and become the best player in the world.”On Tiger: “It’s unfortunate what happened. I still respect him a lot as a golfer.”On saying she wanted to beat Tiger Woods: “It’s kind of funny the stupid things we say when we’re 12 or 13. At the time what else did I know, I was young.”On her game now: “I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs. This year my results haven’t been as good as I want them to be but I feel like personally I’m in a good place. I want to keep improving my game, become a better player and win lots of tournaments — simple.”

Michelle has certainly matured with her replies. I loved what she said about "wanting to beat Tiger Woods." Isn't that what we fans were saying all along?.....13 yr old kids say outrageously pie in the sky things. I know a little kid....4 yrs old... who is obsessed with garbage trucks and says he wants to drive a garbage truck when he grows up.
Btw...that is a beautiful photo of Michelle.

I couldn't believe it then when people were ripping Michelle for what were the words of a kid...for all of her golf skills...she was still a kid...and I can't believe it now when people still hold a grudge about it... ...anyway, here is a little video from the education event...Michelle doesn't say anything in the clip...whomever posted it was an Aaron Kwok fan and just focused on him speaking...
