Michelle's 2nd place in 2014 - 67 - 71 - 68 - 71 277 -11 $187,584.00 You never know what the scores will be but the players are posting some big numbers like last week. So I think Michelle has to post a great score to win this tournament. I think she can do it.
Michelle's scores for the ANA INSPIRATION & THE WIN!!! 69 68 69 67 -17

It's a made-for-tv event with future Michelle paired with present Michelle and having a chance to relive what it was like to be 14 contending for a major will no doubt be relaxing and enjoyable for someone as well-rounded as Michelle.
The winter rains provided plenty of water to grow the grass but the recent warm spell should make it play fast and cater to long hitters like Michelle. And checking the hourly forecast it appears that her tee times are ideal as it will not be too hot before she's done today in the high winds are not forecast to kick up until the 2 o'clock hour and it's pretty much the opposite on day two.
With her new Harry Potter wedges and good health and friend also back in the bag all she manages the scuba gear for the pond leap on Sunday. She's been threatening to do that as long as her playing partner today has been alive and it's high time in the high desert for the high expectations to come to fruition at last.
I am forecasting a 66 leader in the clubhouse start that will hold up through the tougher conditions in the afternoon and a 69 in the second round. the weekend looks to be hot and the competition just as hot so a 70 on Saturday will keep her right at the top of the leaderboard or she will bring it home with a final round 68 for a 15 under total and her first win at the Dinah Shore Nabisco Colgate ANA and a soaking wet finish in the pond. And I'm sure Dinah will be smiling down on the proceedings and proud of and happy for the little girl who entered her tournament all those years ago and despite not being the Tiger Woods of the LPGA Tour many wanted and expected instead has grown into and Incredibly well-rounded woman who's best days on the course appear to be yet to come. Hopefully those lessons will resonate with her Mini-Me today as well but in any case good luck Michelle and everyone entering the contest as well. :-)

My plan is working Great so far with 5 bonus points so far.....Michelle played as if she owned this course in posting her 68 today....her only bad part came in Fairways hit with 6 in 14......she will have to correct that tomorrow......here is our R1 leader board:
1.......boolaboss..........+5 2.......teeshot............-1 T3......jus976.............-2 T3......chargepads.........-2 T3......papawuf............-2

Well....I cannot make a leader board for round two....because round two is NOT over... ...Micheelle and Little Li did not tee off until 8:30 p.m. ET tonight!...well, the Golf Channel took advantage of that and carried the first few holes so we will give yoe the extra coverage too...on the 19th hole Wiesy hit a dvive 285 yards in the middle of the fairway...a wedge got her to12-feet from the pin.....and her on line birdy putt came up a little short.....next it was the par-5 11th at 482 yards long....she boomed her tee shot long in the fairway on the right side,,,her approach shot landed on the green, but it was 60 feet from the oin....and her long eagle shot stopped 4-feet from the hole, and she made her birdy putt to go to -5...thats when the golf Channel had to go to Golf Central....so we did not see Michelle after that she did birdy the short par-4 16th to go to -6 and a tie for 2nd place at -6...she had a par on 17 and then it goy to dark to continue.....
So now Michelle and Li will finish the 2nd tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. and it will be televised....so we all should see Michelle finish the round.....

OK....round two is complete....AND MICHELLE IS TIED FOR 2ND PLACE AT -7....one shot behind Lexi Thompson at -8.....papawuf made a big jump in our standings by picking her score at 69 for 5 bonus points.......however boolaboss is still leading at +4, one point ahead of papawuf.....if Michelle didn't bogey #8 (she had a birdie there in R1) then I would have had +10 on our leaderboard.....and Michelle would be a co-leader and a step closer to making her first jump in the pond.....here is our round 2 leaderboard:
1.......boolaboss..........+4 2.......papawuf............+3 3.......teeshot............-2 4.......jus976.............-3 5.......chargepads.........-5

Great finish for Michelle, she birdied the last two holes to go to -11 and in 6th place alone. Nice pay check of $92,608.00 and moved to #13 on the Solheim Team!!! I'm expecting her to win in Hawaii! Michelle said she loves her new driver and wants to use it on every hole! Now that is confidence in her game! Let's not forget that putter and those irons making magic! Full steam ahead for Michelle!
