from my blog: Dottie Pepper To Receive William D. Richardson Award From Golf Writers Association of AmericaDottie PepperCongratulations to 17-time LPGA winner Dottie Pepper for being named the recipient of the William D. Richardson Award at the 2016 Golf Writers Association of America Dinner on April 6th, prior to The Masters. Back in 1992, Dottie (then Mochrie) also won a GWAA Award, that time as Female Player of the Year. In that season, she won the LPGA Triple Crown as Money List Leader, Vare Trophy (Scoring Average) Leader and LPGA Player of the Year. She also won the first of her two Majors that year at the Nabisco Dinah Shore, now the ANA Inspiration. The William D. Richardson Award is presented to a person who has consistently made an outstanding contribution to golf. Following her stellar playing career, Dottie went on to have (and continues to have) a great broadcasting career. She has worked for NBC/Golf Channel, ESPN and now works with CBS (although she will remain with ESPN for limited duties). Pepper also has served on the PGA Board of Directors.
