more pics and video on my blog: Morgan & Friends 2016 Raises $1 Million For Fight Against Cancer; LPGA Stars Profiled In KPMG Videos
Although it’s still the off-season, some of the biggest stars of the LPGA tour are out making a big difference for people they might never meet. In the annual Morgan & Friends event to raise money for the fight against cancer, Morgan Pressel was joined by Paula Creamer, Lexi Thompson, Cristie Kerr, Natalie Gulbis, Brittany Lincicome, Sandra Gal and reigning LPGA Player of the Year Lydia Ko. With over 400 dinner patrons and 200 golfers, not to mention a last minute donor, $1 million dollars was raised. Morgan started all of this in memory of her mother, Kathryn Krickstein Pressel, who passed away from breast cancer. Over $5 million dollars has been raised since its inception. There will be people tested and treated at the Morgan Pressel Center for Cancer Genetics and the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel Mobile MammoVan that will live longer and fuller lives because of what Morgan and her friends have done. Seriously, think about it. This is way beyond golf and fandom. I don’t want to be overly melodramatic, but it’s a fact that these events will help to save lives. Bless Morgan and all the people involved as participants and donors.

Clearly, Morgan and her friends are leading by example. KPMG, one of the biggest sponsors of the LPGA, published a series of videos with stars of the American Solheim Cup team speaking of what leading by example, inspiring greatness and growing the next generation means to them. They are worth a look.
