Hello Wie Nation:  Michelle is coming off of rehab, and it’s hard to gauge how she is going to fair?  ? But, Wie Nation may have about 5 hours of Wie golf on TV to see how she is going to do in this the 5th Major….Or, the golf channel may give Wie Nation 2 and a half hours of taped delayed early round golf? And then, 2 and a half hours of live golf of the afternoon players? ?? We’ll find out when TV comes on? ? Wie (finger) WDs from Evian Championship Michelle Wie withdrew from The Evian Championship after completing 13 holes in the first round. By Golfweek Staff September 11, 2014 11:42 a.m. Michelle Wie's return to the LPGA didn't last long. Wie, out for the past month with an acute stress fracture in her right index finger, withdrew from the Evian Championship, the LPGA's fifth and final major championship of the season, during the first round Thursday in Evian-les-Bains, France. "It sucks right now," Wie told The Golf Channel. "I really wanted to play this week. This tournament is just so special." Wie was 5 over through 13 holes when she withdrew. She started her round on hole No. 10, playing the back nine in 3 over with one birdie, two bogeys, and a double bogey on the par-4 18th. She played Nos. 1-3 at even par before making double bogey on No. 4. "I kind of knew in the beginning of the week. . . . It was at a point in my recovery process where I wasn't 100 percent, but I was good enough to try to play," Wie said. "My doctor told me you're good to play, but if it hurts you have to stop right away just because it could get worse." Wie said she started to feel pain after hitting her tee shot on her fourth hole, the par-5 13th. Trying to hit a 3-wood, Wie said she hit more of a stinger, catching too much ground. "It was just really bad from there," she said. Wie, 24, who won the U.S. Women's Open earlier this summer, had missed two consecutive cuts before withdrawing from the Meijer LPGA Classic after nine holes Aug. 7 and hadn't competed since then. "I have more tournaments left for this year," Wie said, "and I don't want this to be the last one." Not good. Really a shame and I hope she hasn't done any further damage.
My opinion....if not 100% after this, then forget the rest of the year!

What a disappointment for Michelle with no chance to win the final major - and she could be out for at least another month. I hope it's not that long.
That's her life - big ups and big downs!
She's tough though, experienced it before, but she knows her game now and it's just a wait and see until her hand heals. She's made some great memories to get her though this set-back.
