They kept saying she was putting very well, her face was on posters all over town!  She was also dressed great for the course! I think she was in at least four bunkers that I counted and only one gave her a bogie. All in all not a bad round because they said two over and you're right back in the tournament. |

Bunkered by the green in 2 on 18, decent bunker downwind shot ran about 10 feet past, missed the birdie putt, thus par.
Her putting certainly looked better but I didn't see her hitting a lot of fairways or GIR's while TV was on. All in all about what she deserved, should be enough to make the cut tomorrow.

Has anyone seen Michelle's tweets today? She has a couple pics of a giant ball she has painted gold, looks like a golf ball and has some wires sticking out the back. It also looks like she has a wrist watch worked into the design, on the ball. It's going to be auctioned to raise money at Omega store in Chicago for Ronald McDonald House Charities Global, Omega is one of Michelle's sponsors. Bob, could you get some pictures on the website? And some when we see the finished product! It looks to me like it's a giant gold golf ball with an Omega wristwatch around the ball. What fun for Michelle! Well done the BBC for all the coverage of Michelle we got yesterday - every shot she played from hole 12 onwards. Yani, Paula, Ai hardly got a look in, Ji Yai wasn't mentioned at all. Even the delightful Beatriz, who was playing with her and came in with -1, was barely seen. Let's see more Wie !

TIC I see David.........but you didn't mention that our announcers explained that.........Michelle is THE FACE of the LPGA........they said.........and that is suppossed to cover all of their coverage I guess.........but they ran out of time and couldn't give us any coverage on 18.........when many of us expected a birdie to end her round on that par-5.........but then I read some place that she hit her 2nd shot in a greenside bunker..........and didn't hit a very good bunker shot...........accounting for her par on that hole........BTW.........did anyone else notice the shout coming from the gallery when Michelle got a birdie?.........That, Of Course, was her mother Bo...........who gives us that shout whenever her daughter hits a good shot..........
