What happened to Michelle on the last 6 holes?.........did she decide to Go For Broke..........and aim for the pin on every shot?........and that game plan backfired?.......who knows?.........anyhow she scored a 76........and that's the score we have to use!........so davidy48 has an 8-point lead over michellefan.........here is our leaderboard after 3 rounds.......

Thank you Boolaboss, though I can't remember ever having less pleasure in a victory. To be honest it wasn't difficult to forecast a tight track with tricky greens wouldn't suit her a game at all - in fact I think she did well to make the cut. She needs one of those wide open courses where someone wins with -24.
At least she's got bit closer to the 80th place on the Moneylist - don't know whether her Rolex ranking will improve at all. She can't afford ( literally ) to skip any tournaments from now on, needs to play as much as possible.

Congratulations Davidy48 and thank you Boola Boss for taking the time to do this contest.
Michelle is really struggling don't know if she'll snap out of it before the end of the season but i'm sure she will eventually get her consistency back. We shouldn't be too negative we got to recognize slumps can happen to anyone Yani, Tiger, Phil, Roary. It happens but just like you can fall into a slump you can climb out of one. I'm just waiting for Michelle to have that epiphany and and right the ship.

Did you see HOW she MADE the cut?.........were you watching?.........after her bogey on 16..........she needed at least one birdie and a par on the last 2 holes to make it..........She hit a beautiful tee shot on 17 and was left with a 10-foot birdie putt........which she made!.........then on the par-5 18th sh blasted a 307-yard drive.........and had just a 200-yard shot to the green.............she hit a 200-yard to the green........and was left with a 20-foot eagle shot...........she rolled it to tap-in distance and made the birdie putt........that finish should give her a lot of confidence for her remaining schedule..........and we should all remember that a week after the Safeway is the Canadian Women's Open...............so think back.........she WON the CWO in 2010 by THREE shots..........and then came within one shot of a playoff last year...........trying to defend her title.........sure it was on a different course.........but she MUST like to play in Canada.............and of course she has a few more weeks to sharpen up her game and maybe even get some putting help..........anyhow it looks like her breakthrough is just around the corner...........we Wie fans just have to be patient!!!............. ...............Boola Boss |
