Hello Wie Nation:

After getting a good look at Michelle’s golf game on TV…
I conclude…
Michelle has no scoring power because she can not get the ball close enough to the pin on her approach shots…
In 12 of 15 greens hit, I saw only one decent birdie chance…
I think this lack of decent birdie opportunities is putting too much pressure on Michelle to save par…
Michelle had two three-putt bogeys today
This years short game or approach shots is not the same short game I saw last year…
Today, Michelle was pulling her approach shots…even from the par 3’s..
Once Michelle gets control over her approach shots, I think her putting real really improve…
I heard on TV, the average score was 76 for the course…

Yeah, I've noticed her approach shots have not been close to the hole at all lately, which put pressure on her putting and why it's been so hard for her to get birdies. She keeps pulling her irons and wedges. Michelle use to be so good with those shots when she was young and playing so well.

Anyways, she really didn't play that bad today, just two bad three putts, one just lipping out and it was too bad about the birdies that stop just on the edge. She should be happy with the round, it was an improvement. Just be patient and keep working at it.

BTW, so sad to see the sparse crowd especially at the Open, a major. I know it's hot, but really not good to see so few people there and of course even though it's on ESPN, they don't really report much on the event either. They report more about Tiger playing this week than a women's major. Last year it seem like there were much more buzz. Perhaps it could be due to the holiday.

Also hate the coverage of women's golf. Why don't they show all the shots for a player? Golf channel also does this. It's so annoying to just see either the the approach shot or just the putt. They hardly ever show the tee shots anymore and sometime not even the approach shot and just the putt.
