Can't find much to get excited about here - only 3 scores worse than hers out of the 79 players. Against a moderate field on an incredibly forgiving course I'd hoped for a lot more. At least she did get to play 4 rounds, and every journey begins with a single step...no doubt wiefan will regale us with his usual fantasy in which she played really well - can't wait to read it !

Just really two bad holes this round, so that is a positive. Usually it's more bad holes. Great to see her play the weekend. Next tournament is next week I believe so hopefully she continues to build on this week.

I think it's just worrying that on such a course with wide fairways, she's still missing a lot of fairways. That does not bode well on courses that have narrower fairways or thick rough.
Her swing needs a lot of work or executing the changes she's making/made. Her putting stroke looks better, from the little we saw.

It's really frustrating to watch her struggle like this.  But, I am one those who is still keeping the faith. Inspite of her poor play, she is still a very popular golfer. Those kids lined up for her signature attest to that. |

Hardly surprising that missing fairways didn't matter - huge greens, virtually no rough and they were playing a MUNI for goodness sake ( greenfee players were still playing up to the Sunday before the tournament ). Fairways and GIR's for everyone were way up as a result - some players registered 100% fairways hit in a round ! This course was no real test for players of this calibre, which makes Michelle's mediocre numbers even more disappointing.
