The translation from Japanese into English is hard to understand... Michelle is now in Japan.. Still searching for articles about Michelle? Waiting for tee times and pairings... The Tokyo weather forecast calls for 60% chance of rain for most of the week... Don't know about Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan This is the last news article posted at the tournament site: 2012...04.27 TX, we will stop extraordinary "flat station Future" also express train! Due to her great play at the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic (#2), Lexi Thompson is now ahead of Michelle Wie in the Rolex rankings. Hopefully, this will provide MW with some extra motivation to deliver a good result at the Salonpas Cup!

We all know that the JLPGA is grossly overrated in the Rolex Rankings, so a half decent performance from Wiesy this week should bring some welcome points, especially as it's a Japanese "Major ", whatever that means these days. Probably a shrewd move to pick up a fat appearance fee at the same time !
She doesn't need to worry about her LPGA card as with her name she can play anywhere she wants to.....

Hello Wie Nation: Do you realize that the, “The Tell all Tale of the Tall Tale of the Tall Telling of the Wie Tweets” was written by “Tattle Tale”. ;D ;D ;D The Jlpga site has updated Tee times and posted Round Two Tee times; and I have modified my pairing and tee time post to include Round Two…. Still no interview posts in either the tournament site or the Jlpga site… Don’t know how live scoring play by play will go…This Google translator is giving me posting problems in Michelle Wie Central…And I don’t know if a Japan Major has stats…We’ll see… In Boolaboss’s contest I said, “To me, this tournament is scary”. In five tournaments, Michelle has played poorly… Morgan Pressel has won this tournament…Paula Creamer has come in second, and I don’t know what Ai Miyazto has done… To me, this tournament is scary…This could be another turning point in Michelle’s golfing career…If Michelle plays poorly (Somebody forbid) in this tournament…Then something may have to be done about Michelle’s golf game…And that will take a long time… If Michelle plays well (Somebody willing) in this tournament…Then it’s on to “Bear Cave” and then “match play”… No wishing…Hoping…I am hoping Michelle plays well in this tournament: and this is no “Tall Tale”…. A reminder: Only one day left to get in Boolaboss’s contest… Got to love wie golf bobawiefan

from my blog: JLPGA Ready For First Major Of 2012 Season, The World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup Fairways and ForehandsDefending Salonpas Cup Champion, Sun Ju Ahn of South KoreaThe JLPGA readies itself for the first Major of the 2012 season, the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup. The defending champion is 2-time defending JLPGA Player of the Year Sun-Ju Ahn of South Korea. Over the years, several prominent LPGA players have won this event (in all of its various brandings) including Karrie Webb and Annika Sorenstam (when the event was called the Nichirei Cup World Ladies Golf Tournament). However, the event has only been a JLPGA Major since 2008. Since then, it has been won by an LPGA player once, in 2010 by Morgan Pressel. This year, Morgan returns to compete again, along with fellow LPGA stars, including Ai Miyazato and Mika Miyazato (who started on the JLPGA), Shanshan Feng, Jiyai Shin and Michelle Wie. Michelle Wie with parents during practice round at Salonpas CupAlthough I don’t post every week about the JLPGA, I post frequently enough to have my own JLPGA favorites. Some players I’d like to see challenge or win Salonpas Cup from the JLPGA include Sakura Yokomine, Chie Arimura, Mi-Jeong Jeon, Shinobu Moromizato and 50-time JLPGA winner (and legend) Yuri Fudoh. I’m also happy to see Thai amateur Moriya Jutanugarn get an invite to play. I didn’t see Ariya on the field list. Maybe she will caddie for Moriya, as they often do for each other when one is not playing. I guess I’ll see when play begins. This should be a great field and hopefully an exciting tournament with a great finish. Ai Miyazato during practice round at Salonpas Cup
