Hello Wie Nation:  Boolaboss was right…we get an extra half hour TV coverage on Sunday… So I figure it this way…On stats, I’m plus or minus 2%…On accurate information, I’m plus or minus 5%….On interpreting stats….I’m plus or minus 25%….On predicting Michelle’s score, I’m plus or minus 50%…. But, last year I was correct on my plus 50%…Last year, It was Michelle who did not live up to her plus 50%…. But, it’s going to be different this year….From the early scores, It looks like I’m wrong on my plus 50%…the early scores are high….and from the high scores, the course appears to be playing tougher that the last two years. And Michelle will have to be right on her plus 50%… Michelle tees off in about 15 min… FUTCHER, Katie is the club house leader with a minus 2. 11 players under par… 22 players even.. 18 players over par.. Since it’s Michelle’s first tournament, I thought I would do a comparison play by play with Suzann, and a couple of other players….At least thru nine holes…There are no Stats…. Up first…506 yd par 5...a lot of birdies on this hole. Go michelle go |

Hello Wie Nation: I was disappointed in Michelle’s first round of golf of 2012. But, I am not disappointed in Michelle. Michelle tweeted: Ugh...felt so rusty out there today. But im excited to go out there tmr and improve! Katai said: A tad rusty. My kudos Katai.  I should have seen it coming after reading this: “Wie was sitting inside the clubhouse working on a paper for school.” The warning light went off…but I ignored it….great expectations…I guess. On Wednesday afternoon, after finishing the morning nine-hole pro-am, Wie was sitting inside the clubhouse working on a paper for school. That won't happen for much longer as Wie will be finishing up her classes at Stanford next month and will go through graduation with her classmates in June as she receives a degree in communications. "It's been a little weird entering my last quarter, well hopefully it's going to be my last quarter if I pass all my classes," Wie said. "It will be really embarrassing if I don't [laughs]. I'm looking forward to it. I'm kind of sad because it's been such a great 4 ½ years of my life but I'm excited about this year. I'm excited to enter the real world, as they all say. But I'm also excited just to have more time to do things and excited to see where my game is going to go. This is going to be the first time in forever since I started playing golf that I won't have school. So it's going to be interesting. I think I'm really looking forward to it." Michelle’s finals are 19-23 March….Then Great Expectations…. Of the field of 70 players…25 played under par…10 played even par…and 35 over par. Anyway, Michelle’s final score was a 75...3 over par… 9 pars…3 birdies…6 bogeys… Par 3’s…2 pars…1 birdies…1 bogeys….even par on the par 3’s. Par 4’s…7 pars…0 birdies…3 bogeys…+3 on the par 4’s. Par 5’s…0 pars…2 birdies…2 bogeys….even par on the par 5’s. In round two, Michelle is paired with Sandra Gal, and they tee off at 5:02 pst… Got to love Wie golf bobawiefan |

Michelle’s finals are 19-23 March.........HOW is she going to manage that bob?..........she will be playing in HER Kia Classic at that time, won't she?.........maybe she will make arrangements to take them early.........as she DOES NOT want to MISS a Kia event for sure........she gets a lot of money from them, RIGHT?.....

Michelle back to normal putter? Maybe she really does want Luke Donald to help with her putting! lol. Too bad we didn't get to see Michelle chip her ball onto the 18th green in order to get that birdie! I'm guessing it was a chip since they didn't show it, couldn't tell. I heard the gallery clapping for her. All the focus was on Suzann's difficult shot out of the bunker. At least we saw Michelle hit the ball around that tree and it landed into a good positon for that chip. The guy talking just said what she did. Maybe they only have one camera? I hope she stays with the short putter. |

They did show her 2nd shot from the rough and we saw it on the green rolling past the pin........but we did NOT see it stop.........so her 3rd shot could have been a long eagle putt........OR a chip from the fringe.........either way it was a good shot...........as it gave her a short 3-ft birdie putt.........let's hope it also gives her some momentem AND some confidence for tomorrow...........
