After another top ten (T-9) finish in San Francisco last week.......Michelle will try and do better in this 72-hole, par-71 event.......in Irving, Texas........as defending champion I am going to do some studying before making my picks........but this contest is now open for accepting entries........so good luck to everyone......

Hello Wie Nation:  Michelle is coming off a top ten finish…A birdie on the par 4 17th hole moved her into a tie for ninth… Last week, she had to grind it out in tough conditions to achieve a -2... This week, the weather forecast looks good…How tough the course set-up will be? I don’t know?  ?? Last year the winning scores was -13... Hi ya Everyone in WieNation....hmmm...Par 71 huh....this means I have to make my guesses ONE stroke LOWER  Round One...67...the kid is just plain Playing Great Round Two...67...the kid has her EYE on the first cutline Round Three...66....the winds on this course is a BREEZE for the kid as she relaxes AFTER making the 2nd Cutline Round Four...65...the kid has solved this course and SHOCKS WieNation for a convincing WIN go Wiesy go...she is playing some pretty darn good STEADY golf lately...tons of Birdie chances....better than NOT having a lot of GOOD Makeable opportunities....the key for wiesy is to give herself as many GOOD chances and let the law of averages play itself out...this is the bigget reason that she has played well all year...her Makeable GIRS is starting to show its worth....go Wiesy Go...WieNation is super proud of ya have a good day folks...see ya and Aloha!!! |

EARLY RESULTS - WIEFAN IS THE NAME TO HAVE......
talk about mixed emotions.......watching Michelle on her final hole.......do I root for a par and a six-way tie in our contest.......OR an 8-foot birdie and a two-way tie for the lead?.....so she makes the putt.....of course......and if you have WIEFAN as part of your screen name.......like bobawiefan and wiefan.......then you are tied for first place with your 5 bonus points.......and have a six-point lead over the six of us who had her at 68......here is the leaderboard after round one:

bobawiefan leads wiefan by 2 points as a result of Michelle's two-over-par 73 in the 2nd round......I can't remember the last time Michelle was over par.......here is our leaderboard........

BOBAWIEFAN HOLDS INTO LEAD AFTER 3 ROUNDS.........
bobawiefan continued his quest for a wire-to-wire win by hoding his lead thru the 3rs round.......wiesyfan was the only player to pick Michelle's 68 on the head and win the 5 bonus point award........and moved into 2nd place........with wiefan dropping to 3rd......here is our leaderboard.......

BOBAWIEFAN GOES WIRE-TO-WIRE TO WIN......
This contest got pretty complicated near the end.........when Michelle played not-so-smart strategy on the 18th hole.........to end up with a bogey and a final score of 67........that meant her final position could could have ended in several places........and we had people who had her to finish 3rd, fourth and fifth......
so we had to wait until the final pairing finished to get our winner........and he was our wirw-to wire winner BOBAWIEFAN.......who ended up winning by only one point over chargepads......katai and jus976 both got 5 bonus points for Michelle finisning in 3rd place........bobawiefan, chargepads and michellefan all got 5 bonus points for Michelle's final score of 67..........so here is our final leaderboard......
